Loomis Study- Solid Forms

I realised that I left a page out of the Loomis book. So instead of doing more projections, I will focusing on doing solid forms, which is considered 'real character drawing'- it looks like I'm going to be on this page for a while.

Now this is hard. There is this projection technique to enable you to draw something from several angles. But I'm already struggling to master the first step. Maybe I can do better tomorrow.

These were the last batch of faces featuring on Loomis' stunt page. I'm quite pleased with the result, although I felt I got lost in several details with the face on the left.

This was quite a tricky head to get right, but I'm glad with my results from studying this 'stunt'.

I'm now doing his 'stunt' involving drawing 3 circles to create a head. As I don't seem to recreate his heads accurately, as I am meant to use my imagination, I think I might get good at using this technique.

I think that this is a vast improvement with my attempt on that head from yesterday.

Yesterday,  I decided to progress onto the next set of faces in this Trick Stuff chapter. I was able to work out what was going on pretty quickly with the head on the left, but I think I will need to study harder to work out what was going on with the head on the right.
