Inktober- Day 22- Life Drawing (Woman on Bus with Trolley)

I tried to do some life drawing on the bus, but the trip was so wobbly, that I wasn't pleased with it whilst doing this. It's not too bad, although I would've liked some more definition with the trolley and her hands. There's always another day.

Light and Dark Art Uploads- Paintings, Illustrations, and Wire Woman Studies

This is a batch of pieces done along the theme of light and dark. The paintings were based on scenes, and emotions, that I want to include inside my mask- and I won't be revealing my concepts behind this mask design just yet. The same can be said for the illustration of me on an exercise bike. The drawings all came from a still life drawing of this wire figure.

Final Batch of "The Women Folk" Studies, and Life Drawings

I'm quite please with how the heads came out, showing an understanding of how the heads were constructed, as well as how they were drawn.
The life drawings were also successful, as they got me to loosen up when I was trying to draw this array of objects. Although, I prefer the bottom image, in terms of its composition, but the other drawing shows more effort towards overlapping, and spacial awareness of the objects.

Now I'm onto a page featuring some stock women characters. So I'll be doing a lot more heads from this book- joy.

I have now finished that page. The 'method of checking' was helpful in working out the proportions for the eyes, nose, and mouth area, but that was all I found helpful from that method.

I was quite chuffed with how the head came out on the right, even thou I clipped off a bit of her hair because of the page layout.

I messed up the head on the right, but I was able to understand the construction of the heads rather then apply Loomis' approach.

I'm still can't master the main head on that page, but at I was able to render off an adequate study of one of the other heads on the page.

I have now got onto another page, in which Loomis gives some personal advice about his method on drawing heads. So I am trying out the heads on that page to see if his theories have sunk in.

Another favourite of mine from Blackwing Skecthbook.

I just wanted to share this picture from a blog that I have already dealt with further in an earlier post.
I just find such a dynamic picture, mainly because of the loosely drawn dog, which looked like it looks like part of the car.
I admire anyone that can animals, and cars-In my comic, I have made several attempts to draw them, but I am not 100% confident with drawing them yet- So seeing someone draw vehicle so confidently, in this sketchy stage, shows that I should not try and give up trying to draw them just yet (I probably should draw some real-life vehicles if I get the opportunity to do that.)
As for animals, I have not really considered animals into my comic, but they maybe an ideological choice rather than an ignorance to draw them- I have an allergy to pet hair!
Overall, I find this another inspiring drawing from this excellent blog for several motivational reasons: I need to keep drawing, especially when I am not confident with certain objects, like cars, and try to draw loosely so that I can work out what works and does not work, instead of rushing in to make it finalised.
