Oscar-Winning Animator Bob Godfrey Dies at 91
If you were to ask me to list some of the animators that have influenced my work, both personally and professionally, along with some contemporary figures (Nick Park, Bill Plympton), Bob Godfrey might not be an obvious choice in my repertoire. But with his work in children's programming (Roobarb, Skylark), his more adult work (Bio Woman, Instant Sex), and his involvement with the Beatles films (Yellow Submarine, A Hard Day's Night), you start getting an established picture about the legacy this figure has left in British pop culture.
